DHS ASC Fundraising For a New Computer

Our club was fundraising for the national competition. We were asking local community businesses for their support, we are asking for a fast loading laptop that will improve our performance for the nationals. We need a laptop because our old computer is extremely slow it takes about 10-15 min loading our software called Mission Planner by ardupilot.

This software controls the drone, we use this software to carry out the three missions given in the competition. The first one we need to find x's and letters of a word on the ground using an autonomous flight mode, for this we need to maximize the battery to search the area using the servery grid in mission planner were the software scans the map and makes an autonomous flight plan. The second mission is called the way-point challenge were we need to fly to the coordinates given by the judges, we need to input these coordinates in the software to make an autonomous flight plan that we need to follow strictly or else we will get a zero. The last challenge is called the water balloon challenge in which we need to deploy a water with in 10 ft away, while begin more than 40 ft above ground level.

As you can see, this laptop is very crucial to our performance, right now we are flying blind. We do not know the correct battery voltage because last time we flew the battery voltage was fine but then the drone crashed because the battery voltage was low. We can not rely on our computer anymore for the importance of the software is very important to the performance and safety of our team.
